The best defense grade on the board โ a flat 100, first of 32 โ built on the league's best corner room, a top-three edge, and an offensive line that graded second in football. Then the skill positions walk in and the file goes quiet. This is a Rottweiler's defense leashed to a Golden Retriever's offense, and my math weighs defense heaviest of the four factors, which is most of why the composite still looks like this.
Each factor is normalized 0โ100 across the league โ 100 is first, 0 is dead last โ then weighted into the 67.1. Weights are the same for all 32 teams: defense 35, offense 30, history 20, coaching 15.
The 100. Best corner room in football, a top-three edge, nothing below a 7.5. If dawg is a defensive concept โ and it is, that's canon โ this is the purest expression of it on the board.
League-middle. The sheet below shows who carries the identity and who just carries the ball.
Top-third. The ring-counter found material; the 40% franchise-vibes term just polished it.
Top-third of the league on the aggression chart โ fourth down is a decision here, not a ritual.
The raw grades behind the factors โ my dawg read on each unit group, 1 to 10, with its weight inside the defense factor and where it ranks among the 32. Defense is graded by unit group this season, not player-by-player โ per-player cap-hit weighting arrives when the final 2026 cap tables settle. Said loudly on the main board, said loudly here.
Every Bronco on the frozen ADP board โ the market's price next to my dawg read. The two numbers were never allowed to meet: I scored the player blind, then ADP told me how much of the offense rides on him. That firewall is the whole method. Names that link go to that player's file in the prop room; the rest don't have one yet.
| ADP | PLAYER | POS | DAWG |
|---|---|---|---|
| 42.2 | Jaylen WaddleFILE → | WR | 6.0 / 10 |
| 74.5 | Courtland Sutton | WR | 7.5 / 10 |
| 88.9 | RJ Harvey | RB | 6.5 / 10 |
| 94.7 | J.K. Dobbins | RB | 7.5 / 10 |
| 117.0 | Bo NixFILE → | QB | 6.5 / 10 |
Courtland Sutton (7.5/10) is the alpha grade on this sheet.
The season-long ledger lives on the main board and grades itself all year. Here is the Broncos' part in it, breed against breed.
| OPPONENT'S BREED | ROTTWEILER | GOLDEN RETR. | GREYHOUND | COCKER SPAN. |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| THE PLAY | 1 UNIT ยท OPPONENT | NO PLAY | 1 UNIT ยท DEN | 2 UNITS ยท DEN |
Golden against Golden is a wash โ nothing goes on the ledger. Above them, the paper rides the Rottweiler; below them, it rides the Broncos โ one unit against the track teams, two when a Spaniel wanders in. The rating is locked all season. If I graded the heart wrong, the ledger will tell on me in public.
